Geek Bank is a community run not for profit Meetup.com group, and this website is hosted on Vercel, utilising their native tooling and platform security models to ensure robust, scalable protection as our platform grows. This website is a community landing page that advertises our Meetup.com events and also showcases public events being hosted by our supporting Spaces partners near you. If you have any queries or questions regarding this notice or your personal data, please contact us by raising a support ticket or emailing our team here.

To provide our services, we store the following information: Your name, email address, profile photo, and core account details. Securely encrypted passwords (we never have access to your password). Optional details you choose to provide, such as your phone number, biographical information, and home location.

We process and retain your data strictly to operate our events, maintain a welcoming and secure community environment, and assist organisers in verifying members at meetups.

We process your personal data in full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We process your personal data based on legitimate interests (operating and safeguarding our community and events) and consent (for optional profile information you choose to provide).

Financial support options for members are coming soon. All future payments and supporter memberships will be processed exclusively through Stripe. Geek Bank will never store, handle, or process debit or credit card details on our own systems. Stripe will securely hold, process, and govern all payment and financial data in accordance with their strict regulatory and security standards.
